Residents of Nova Scotia Decide on Subsea Cable (Canada)

As Capebretonpost.com reports, residents of Nova Scotia have been asked for their opinion on the Maritime Link, a subsea cable project, which will supply Newfoundland and Labrador with Hydro-electricity.

The public will submit their feedback on draft regulations which were develop by the Utility and Review Board as part of the project.

The 180-kilometre subsea cable will land at Point Aconi, Cape Breton after travelling overhead in Newfoundland.

The review will determine if the project is in the best long-term interests of Nova Scotians.
