Rialto Starts Drill Stem Testing of Gazelle P3 ST2 Well (Ivory Coast)

Rialto provides the following update on the drill stem testing of the Gazelle-P3 ST2 well announced on 25 June 2012.

Following the successful completion of wireline logs, vertical seismic profiling and sidewall coring operations on the Gazelle-P3 ST2 well, the drill stem testing programme has commenced. The programme involves the perforating of the Upper Cenomanian (UC-1) oil reservoir zones then sequentially perforating and co-mingling the gas and condensate portion of the UC-1 reservoir, and is expected to take approximately two weeks.

After completion of the drill stem testing Rialto intends to suspend the well to allow for future completion as a Gazelle Field production well.

On June 26, Rialto awarded the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for the Gazelle Field Development to Petrofac.

The Gazelle Field lies in Block CI-202 offshore Cote d’Ivoire and is being developed by Rialto, as operator, and Petroci (Société Nationale d’Opérations Pétrolières de la Côte d’Ivoire).

The field development plan and gas agreement has been approved by the Cote d’Ivoire authorities  and the production facilities will consist of a fixed production platform at the Gazelle Field with separate oil and gas pipelines from the platform to shore.
