Rosneft talks LNG supply with Pertamina

Rosneft and Indonesian Pertamina signed a memorandum of understanding regarding a joint study of potential areas of cooperation between the two companies, particularly in hydrocarbons upstream in Russia and Indonesia.

In addition, the parties agreed to review the possibilities of partnership in the area of oil and oil, oil products, petrochemicals, LPG and LNG supplies to Indonesia.

Pertamina’s activities cover the entire production chain from exploration and production of natural gas to the LNG regasification.

The Indonesian company had recently revealed that the country will need 6.1 mmt per year of LNG in order to meet the forecast demand of 12 mmt by 2019-2020.

The company is also looking to develop several LNG terminals in order to meet the expected increase in Indonesia’s demand that could reach 4.8% over the period from 2015 to 2025.
