RPS Energy to provide client offshore representatives at Dutch wind farm zone

The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) has awarded RPS Energy with a contract to provide client offshore representatives for geotechnical investigations at the IJmuiden Ver Wind Farm Zone (IJVWFZ) in the Netherlands.

RVO

RPS will provide four client offshore representatives who will be present at the vessels or the site of the contractor of the geotechnical site investigations at the IJmuiden Ver site.

The representatives will monitor if the services/products to be delivered by the geotechnical contractor are executed respecting the applicable HSE and Quality requirements and within the scope and conditions of the contract.

The UK company will possibly also be working at a neighboring wind farm zone as the geotechnical contractor has an option to survey an additional area in the proximity of IJVWFZ.

The total duration of this additional operational survey is expected to be around 12 weeks, and it could be executed after completion of the IJmuiden Ver scope.

Located some 62km off the west coast of the Netherlands, the 400km2 Ijmuiden Ver zone is divided into four sites – IJmuiden Ver I,II, III, and IV.

The Dutch government will issue two tenders for permits to develop the sites, in 2023 for IJmuiden Ver I and II, and in 2025 for the remaining two.
