Russia: Authorities Hold Public Hearings on Taman Port Project

 

PortNews reports that the head of Rostransmodernizatsiya said the authorities of Temryuk municipality have held public hearings on new Taman Port project.

Igor Freydin, Director General of “Directorate of the State Customer to Implement the Federal Program “Modernization of Transport System of Russia” (Rostransmodernizatsiya) said the agency is the customer-developer of the port of Taman project.

The project aimed to create a dry-cargo port in the seaport of Taman is implemented in accordance with the regulation of the Russian Government on December 5, 2001 (№ 848) “On the Federal Target Program “Development of the Russian transport system (2010-2015).”

The project of building a new deepwater port of Taman will total RUB 82 billion 664.9 million, including RUB 50 billion 558.8 million from the federal budget and RUB 32 billion 106.1 million from off-budget resources.
