Icebreaking Tug Dobrynya Set into Operation

The leading icebreaking berthing tug Dobrynya, of the TG04M project, build on the FSUE “Rosmorport” order at the Nijegorodskiy Teplohod, OJSC shipbuilding plant, set in operation on November, 15.

The project was developed taking into account the enterprise’s requirements and the experience of operating similar tug in difficult conditions of polar regions.

Dobrynya – is the first of two ice class berthing tugs for the need of the Azov basin branch. The second tug, Muromets, will be set in operation on November, 30.

Architectural and structural type of the TG04M project vessel – single decked, twin screwed, with a ledge middle deck, with central location of the pilot house, with the icebreaking stem. The vessel is named after one of the Russian epic heroes.

Vessel’s technical characteristics:

overall length – 20,96 m;

overall width – 6,6 m;

displacement – 126,6 t;

draught – 1,8 m;

power – 2х221 kWt (600 h.p.);

traction force at breasting lines – about 6,5 t;

nominal traction force at the hook – 71 кН.
