Russia: LNG action plan approved

The Russian government approved the LNG market development roadmap for the next five years.

Russia’s prime minister Mikhail Mishutkin unveiled the approval at the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Russian news agency TASS reports.

The approved document includes initiatives that encourage boosting the investments in LNG activity, lowering administrative barriers, updateing the regulatory base and developing conditions for advance technologies rollout.

The impoving of LNG development and creating the infrastructur in remote areas, including Siberia and the Far East, where pipeline networks laying is not always possible, is seen as particularly important.

LNG can also be successfully used at almost all kinds of transport, Mishustin said to TASS.
