Nevsky Shipyard Rolls Out NEVA-LIDER 3

NEVA-LIDER 3, the third in the series of 10 self-propelled dry-cargo vessels of project RSD49, was launched from Nevsky Shipyard’s slipway on October 10th 2012. The vessels of Project RSD49, built for the North -Western Shipping Company, refer to «Volgo-Don Max» class and are designed by Marine Engineering Bureau-Design-SPb, JSC.

The feature of the vessel of project RSD49 is the existence of a big middle hold with the length of fifty two meters, which makes it possible to transport “design” oversize and heavy-lift cargoes in one way voyage Europe-Caspian Sea.

Breadth overall- 16,70 m

Depth  – 6,00 м.

Capacity of cargo holds – 10920 m3

Deadweight in river (draft 3.6 m) – about 4520 t,

Deadweight at sea (draft 4.7 m) – about 7150 t

Service speed – 11,5 knots

The endurance at sea is 20 days.

Ship crew – 10 people, places – 12. A sanitary cabin and a cabin for pilot are provided onboard.
