Sakhalin Energy Confirms LNG Production Target

Sakhalin Energy, operator of Russia’s first LNG terminal, said its 2013 production target of 10.5 million metric tonnes will be fully met, the company’s CEO, Roman Dashkov stated.

Overall, since 1999, the company has shipped 680 LNG cargoes to its customers, he told the Sakhalin Oil and Gas Conference.

Sakhalin Energy shareholders are Gazprom (50%), Shell (27.5%), Mitsui (12.5%) and Mitsubishi (10%).

The Sakhalin LNG terminal has exported 5 million tonnes of LNG in the first half of 2013, up 38.5% compared to the same period last year.
