SCF Board of Directors Appoints New Chairman

The Board of Directors of OAO Sovcomflot held a meeting on Monday to consider, amongst other things, the election of a new Chairman. At the meeting, following a unanimous decision, Ilya Klebanov was re-elected as Chairman of the Board of OAO Sovcomflot, a position he has held since 25 November 2011.

SCF Sovcomflot is Russia’s largest shipping company and a world leader in hydrocarbon transportation by sea, as well as offshore exploration and the extraction of oil & gas. The SCF fleet specialises in hydrocarbon shipping in challenging icy conditions and includes 160 vessels (owned and chartered), with a combined deadweight of over 12 million tonnes. One third of these vessels are classified as high ice class.

Sovcomflot supports large-scale energy projects in Russia and the rest of the world, including: Sakhalin-I, Sakhalin-II, Varandey, Prirazlomnoye, Tangguh, Escobar and Peregrino. The company is registered in St. Petersburg and has representative offices in Moscow, Novorossiysk, Murmansk, Vladivostok, London, Limassol, Madrid, Singapore and Dubai.
