Sabine Pass LNG cargo heading for Portugal

REN-operated Sines LNG import terminal in Portugal is set to receive a new cargo of the chilled fuel, shipping data by the Port of Sines shows.

The cargo was loaded aboard Knutsen’s the 2010-built 173 400-cbm Valencia Knutsen LNG carrier with a cargo capacity of 174,400 at Cheniere’s Sabine Pass liquefaction and export facility in Louisiana.

According to the Port of Sines data, the vessel is scheduled to deliver the cargo on August 1.

Sines LNG terminal, located on Portugal’s Atlantic coast, has a nominal send out capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
