Santos CFO retires after eleven years of service

Australian oil and gas company Santos has announced that Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Andrew Seaton will retire from the company by the end of 2016.

Santos said on Wednesday that Seaton is retiring following over eleven years of service, including the last six as CFO.

Santos Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Gallagher, said: “Andrew has worked diligently to deliver on the company’s strategy and I would like to recognize his strong contribution over many years. His knowledge and insights over the last few months have been invaluable for the transition of Santos to a new operating model, and I thank him for his integrity, enthusiasm and commitment during this time.

“I look forward to continuing to work closely with Andrew over coming months, and wish him well for the next phase of his career,” Gallagher said.

The company noted that Seaton will remain with the company until the end of the year ‘to ensure a smooth transition of his key responsibilities’. Santos has started an executive search to identify a successor to Seaton, the company concluded.
