SB Broneske Gains LR Type Approval

SB Broneske (Schwingungstechnik-Broneske GmbH) is the only worldwide supplier of fire- and water-proofed flexible deck and bulkhead penetration for the exhaust pipe system. In addition to the world exclusive certificate of fire approval for single pipe deck penetration the company received on 19 August 2013 the Lloyd’s Register Type Approval for single steel pipe bulkhead penetration.

The penetrations are fire-proof for 60 minutes (A-60) at 1000’C and water-proof for 30 minutes (6 metres, 0.6 bar). They are especially popular with all kinds of passenger vessels and offshore ships.

Because of zero transfer of vibration and structure-born noise into the ship’s structure these proofed flexible pipe penetrations meets demands of MLC 2006.
