SBSS Inks KJO Subsea Cable Installation Contract with COOEC in China

On 13th March 2012, SBSS Managing Director Mr. Bruce Neilson-Watts and Mr. Xie Qingbao, the General Manager of China Offshore Oil Engineering Corporation(COOEC) KSA Branch, counter signed the KJO Subsea Cable Installation contract in SBSS Shanghai office.

The KJO project is an offshore oil project in the offshore area between Saudi Arabia and Kuwaiti border, with France’s Technip as the main contractor, and COOEC as one fabrication/installation subcontractor. SBSS’s scope of work covers 70km subsea cable inter-platform installation. SBSS DP2 cable vessel Bold Maverick will undertake this installation in 2012.

This contract is an important step for SBSS in the Middle-East offshore market.
