SCHOTTEL Hydro names new Managing Director

SCHOTTEL Hydro, a subsidiary of the SCHOTTEL Group, has appointed Niels Lange as Managing Director.

In 2011, Niels Lange, joined the Josef Becker Research Centre of the SCHOTTEL Group.

Lange brought along his experience as researcher at the Institute for Fluid Dynamics and Ship Theory of the Hamburg University of Technology.

He played a major role in the development of SCHOTTEL hydrokinetic energy devices.

Niels Lange said: “Harvesting hydrokinetic energy is an attractive addition to the renewable energy mix. SCHOTTEL Hydro is already involved in several projects around the globe.”

Niels Lange will lead the company together with Gerhard Jensen, CEO of the SCHOTTEL Group.

SCHOTTEL Hydro comprises activities in three segments: hydrokinetic turbines, semi-submerged platforms, and components such as turbine hubs and drives.
