SCI ponders Singapore LNG unit

Shipping Corporation of India is considering opening a Singapore unit in order to operate LNG carriers for an unnamed company. 

The company’s chairman and managing director Arun Kumar Gupta told PTI that a foreign company approached SCI with the business proposition.

SCI already manages Petronet LNG’s three vessels and is further turning its focus to LNG with plans to operate the three carriers that should be built domestically for Gail.
