Scottish Renewables names new Chairman and Vice-Chairman

Scottish Renewables has appointed Patricia Hawthorn as Chairman and Gordon MacDougall as Vice-Chairman of the organization.

Patricia Hawthorn, Partner at UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn, has been appointed Chairman of the renewables body.

Patricia Hawthorn previously served as Scottish Renewables Vice-Chairman from 2013-2015, and has spent last 18 years advising public and private sector clients on consenting, regulatory and compliance matters in relation to renewable technologies from energy from waste to wave and tidal.

Gordon MacDougall, newly appointed Vice-Chairman, has worked for Renewable Energy Systems (RES) from June 2009 and was tasked with overseeing the development, construction, generation and new renewable technologies for the whole of Western Europe.

Scottish Renewables is a member organisation dedicated to strengthening business relationships and committed to securing the best environment for the growth of renewable energy in Scotland.
