SeaBird completes ‘Boa Thalassa’ buy

Seismic vessel operator SeaBird Exploration has completed the previously announced acquisition of the BOA Thalassa vessel.

“The Company has today completed the acquisition of BOA Thalassa for a purchase price of NOK 92,500,000 [~$10.6 million]. NOK 64,833,553 has been paid in cash, and NOK 27,666,447 has been paid in the form of 23,055,373 new shares of the Company,” SeaBird said on Thursday afternoon.

As previously reported, SeaBird, which first announced the intention to buy the vessels in April, late in May reached final agreements with BOA SBL to acquire the Boa Thalassa and Boa Galatea vessels.”

SeaBird previously said that the transaction for the acquisition of the BOA Galatea and BOA Thalassa vessels would be worth around 185 million NOK ($21.7 million).

The completion of the acquisition of BOA Galatea is in progress and will complete later, expected in July/August 2019, SeaBird said on Thursday.
