Seamec finds work for diving support vessel

Seamec, a provider of diving support vessels and services, has entered into a charter hire agreement with Sanat Gostar Kish for the Seamec Princess vessel which will see the DSV work in the Persian Gulf.

Seamec said in a stock market filing on Wednesday that the contract was for 50 days with an option for an extension after the contract expires if the two sides reach an agreement.

The company added that the charter was already in effect from September 11, 2016, and that the total value of the contract was $1,100,000.

Other details regarding the charter were left undisclosed.

The vessel was built 1984 by Finnish company Rauma-Repola Oy for worldwide offshore operations.

The Seamec Princess is used for services, which include S.B.M maintenance removal and installations, platform, riser and pipeline repairs, inspection and surveys, subsea constructions, anode installations, ROV and grouting operations and hook up jobs and commissioning.

It was re-built in 2001 and modified in 2008. The Seamec Princess is 123 meters long with, 21 meters in breadth with a deadweight of 4364 tons.
