    In one of the largest orders bagged by ABC and first of its kind from a German shipping company, ABG Shipyard has concluded an order for construction of 12 handysize bulk carriers of 35000 DWT each from Bereederungsgesellschaft H Vogemann GmbH & Co KG, Hamburg. The deal is worth approximately Rs 1439 crore.

    Portland shipbuilder Vigor Industrial LLC said Thursday that it is acquiring Seattle’s Todd Shipyards Corp. in a $130 million cash deal. Vigor will pay $22.27 a share under the agreement that will take Todd private. The combined company will have 1,800 employees, according to Alan Sprott, vice president of the Swan Island manufacturer.
