Seaway 7 Books Green Marine for Beatrice

Green Marine has won a contract by Seaway 7 to provide crew transfers for the Beatrice offshore wind farm in the UK.

The company’s latest vessel Green Storm is providing the transfers to and from the project site offshore the Caithness coastline.

Green Marine also worked with Seaway 7 on the Beatrice wind farm last year, when it deployed its vessel Green Quest.

“Seaway Heavy Lifting contracted Green Marine(UK)Ltd to provide crew transfer services during offshore wind construction works in Scotland, we were impressed with the level of vessel services provided and the support and response of the office engineering team was fantastic,” said René Alferink, Operations Lead for Seaway 7.

Green Storm, a Damen Twin Axe 26m long crew transfer vessel, joined Green Marine’s fleet in mid-March.

Beatrice, currently under construction some 13km off the Caithness coast, will feature 84 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines. The 588MW project is expected to be fully commissioned this spring.
