Shell Allowed to Use Regalia Flotel During Draugen Works

In connection with upgrades on the Draugen facility, A/S Norske Shell (Shell) has received consent to use the MSV Regalia living quarters facility while the work is ongoing at the field, offshore Norway.

Shell will carry out upgrades on the Draugen facility which e.g. include the living quarters and lifeboat system.

Increased accommodation capacity is needed during this work, and Shell has received consent to use MSV Regalia as a flotel at the Draugen facility until 31 October 2013.

MSV Regalia is a GVA 3000 design and was built in 1985 at GVA in Sweden. The facility received the PSA’s Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) in July 2009, is operated by Prosafe AS and can accommodate 282 people in single cabins.
