Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil, BP and RasGas Leaders to Address Gastech 2011 (The Netherlands)

Gas leaders from Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil, BP and RasGas will participate as keynote speakers at Gastech 2011 in Amsterdam, 21-24 March, sharing rare and insightful views on the state of the global gas industry through the eyes of five major international producers.

On day one of the conference, John Gass, Corporate Vice President & President of Chevron Global Gas will deliver a special address to precede the ‘Global Market Outlook’ session. Hamad Mubarak Al Muhannadi, Operations Manager of RasGas will then provide an insight to the significant impact of recent Qatari gas developments from the perspective of Rasgas, one of the world’s largest LNG producers. To launch the Technical Stream, one of Shell’s most senior technical experts, Matthias Bichsel, Director of Technology & Projects, will share his many decades of experience in the third keynote address.

On day two of the conference, ExxonMobil begin the Commercial Stream at the highest level as President of Gas Marketing, Tom Walters, presents his views to the conference. Concluding the keynote addresses in the Technical Stream, is recently appointed Chief Operating Officer of BP Global Gas, Alan Haywood, who will speak before the morning session ‘LNG, LPG & Chemical Gas Shipping’.

Gastech 2011 will also witness, for the first time ever, a unique Leadership Panel Debate which unites some of the world’s most influential energy leaders in an open discussion. Confirmed to speak at this morning session on day one, will be Malcolm Brinded, Shell’s Executive Director of Upstream; Sheikh Al-Thani, Chief Executive Officer of Qatargas; Maxime Verhagen, Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands; and Hans-Peter Floren, Member of the Board of Management at E.ON Ruhrgas.

Hosted by Shell, Gastech 2011 is the premier event in the global gas calendar, serving the entire spectrum of the upstream, midstream and downstream gas sectors. The conference will feature unique and innovative programme sessions and a powerful opening leadership panel debate, reflecting dynamic upheavals impacting upon gas and creating an important forum for today’s global gas industry.
