‘Siem Daya 1’ suffers yet another deferral

After several previous delays, Malaysian Daya Offshore Construction and Norway’s Siem Offshore have once again postponed the delivery of the Offshore Subsea Construction Vessel (OSCV) Siem Daya 1 to the Malaysian company.

The two companies have now agreed to extend the delivery of Siem Daya 1 until December 15, 2015, with December 31, 2015 as cancelling date.

According to the previous agreement from October 20, the vessel was supposed to be delivered by November 16 with November 30 as a cancelling date.

The Siem Daya 1, built in 2013, is designed for subsea operation duties such as construction and installation work, inspection and maintenance.
