Siem Offshore lands AHTS deal with Woodside

Siem Offshore, an international offshore and subsea shipping company, has been awarded a charter contract for one of its anchor handling tug and supply (AHTS) vessels in Australia. 

Siem Offshore, through its fully owned subsidiary Siem Offshore Australia, was awarded a charter contract for the AHTS vessel “Siem Topaz” with Woodside Energy for operation in Australia.

The contract is expected to start in May 2016, and the firm period is for 18 months plus options.

The shipping company’s 2010-built AHTS Siem Topaz is of a VS 491 CD design with a LOA of 91.00 m, breadth of 22.00 m and draught of 7.95 m.

It is designed for towing and anchor handling, deep water inspection- and construction work. The vessel is equipped with a gantry crane for anchor and cargo handling.
