Thailand: KBAT to Deliver Diver Medic Courses to IMCA

 

KBA Training Centre (KBAT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with H.T Training & Services Co., Ltd to deliver International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) Diver Medic Technician and IMCA Diver Medic Technician Refresher courses at DMS Training Facility Phuket – Thailand. The first course has been scheduled to run on the 5 – 14 June 2012.

KBA Training Centre Pte Ltd is the leading IMCA approved training provider in the South East Asia region. The IMCA Approved Diver Medic Technician Course provides participants with the skills, knowledge and the confidence to administer the Life Support techniques learnt during the training effectively and safely. Attendees will be taught how to assess the casualty promptly and provide resuscitative measures with up to date emergency first aid and medical equipment as well as a detailed understanding of diving related illnesses.

This course has been developed to train offshore divers to be a competent Advanced First Aider / medics as outlined by IMCA and Diving Medical Advisory Committee (DMAC) guidance documents and requirements, while on successful completion and passing the course examinations the attendees will be awarded with IMCA approved DMT / DMTR certification that is recognised internationally by the offshore commercial diving industry.

KBAT’s DMT/ DMTR training upholds IMCA course curriculum and standards and provides a robust foundation of practical drills/ scenarios and theory for personnel to develop their competence in this specialised area of emergency management.

Besides the new training location in Phuket, KBAT also deliver DMT/DMTR in New Delhi – India and Singapore with its headquarters in Singapore.
