Six Bulk Carriers Join Western's Fleet

Six new 37,000 dwt bulk carriers joined Western’s fleet from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard . Vessels are 187 meters long, 28.6 meters wide, 10.4 meters draught, having 49,300 cubic feet in cargo capacity, powered by Hyundai Man B&W 6S46MC.C8 main engines of 7700 KW power at 120 r.p.m. The vessels has five cargo holds and a service speed of 14.3 knots.

These are special vessels which has completed all pre-installation for ballast water treatment plant. As soon as the ratification takes place the vessels can be upgraded to meet the requirements.

Mr. Oleg Karabut, Technical Manager at Western Group SA have appreciated Navgathi Marine for the on time delivery of all the six vessels. “It is Navgathi’s hardwork and dedication that made this best results.Navgathi’s site team at HMD took care of each subjects of Newbuilding process so well that there was no room for complaints.

He also appreciated Mr. Pramod Chambath, Newbuildings Director at Navgathi for his support and co-ordination which made the project sucessful.
