Skeye Documents SHL’s Foundation Work on Baltic 2

Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) has commissioned Skeye B.V. to film its new tool in action at the EnBW Baltic 2 offshore wind farm. The tool was specially developed by the company for placing tripod jacket foundations.

Skeye was asked to film the performance of SHL’s new system and the installation of the tripods. Filming was done from the company’s heavy lift barge Stanislav Yudin.

Aerial video footage was captured using the Altura Zenith ATX8 equipped with a Panasonic GH4 4K film camera. The Zenith performed excellent in wind force 6 Bft and was able to capture good quality video, Skeye specified.

The EnBW Baltic 2, located in the Exclusive Economic Zone of Germany bordering the Swedish and Danish waters, is the second offshore wind farm by EnBW. It comprises 39 monopiles (for depths of 23 meters to 35 meters) and 41 tripod jacket foundations (for depths more than 35 meters).
