Small Tsunami Hits Japan

On Friday a small tsunami hit the northeast coast of Japan, caused by the previous earthquake, CNN reports.

U.S. Geological Survey reported that the earthquake took place at sea, 462 kilometers (287 miles) east-northeast of Tokyo at a depth of 36 kilometers (22 miles).

According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center the quake didn’t create a widespread threat of a tsunami in the Pacific.
