Solstad Offshore said on Wednesday that the contract extension was for approximately five months of work for end-user Eni.

According to the company, the vessel will continue supporting Eni’s deepwater drilling campaign offshore Indonesia.

The contract will begin in January 2019 in direct continuation of the vessel’s current deal with Eni. It is worth noting that the initial five-month deal for the vessel was agreed in July 2018.

The Far Statesman was built in 2013 by the Vard Langsten yard. The vessel is 87.4 meters long, 21 meters wide, and can accommodate 40 people. It is powered by a total of six engines with a combined 24,371 BHP.
