Songa Hawk Joins Navig8

Shipping company Navig8 has welcomed oil/chemical tanker Songa Hawk to its fleet.

Sailing under the flag of the Marshal Islands, the tanker joins the group’s Taras8 Pool. Built by Jinse Shipbuilding, from South Korea, in 2009, the ship is operated by Songa Shipmanagement Ltd., the inhouse shipmanagement company of the Blystad Group.

The tanker featuring a deadweight of 13,265 MT, has recently underwent a  scheduled drydock in Croatia’s Brodotrogir shipyard.
Songa Hawk entered Brodotrogir’s dock on May 12 in accordance with its standard five-year maintenance schedule.

The drydocking work included paint jobs, maintenance and repair of engines and accompanying equipment along with check-ups of other systems onboard.
