South Hook awaiting new Qatar LNG cargo

South Hook terminal is awaiting a new LNG cargo onboard Shagra, an LNG carrier with a capacity of 266,000 cubic metres, which is due to arrive on July 19, port data shows.

This will be the third shipment in the next seven days that is scheduled to arrive at the South Hook terminal from Ras Laffan in Qatar.

The South Hook LNG terminal, a part of the Qatargas 2 integrated value chain, is one of the largest LNG re-gasification terminals in Europe, providing the UK with a significant proportion of its natural gas requirements.
