South Hook set for first September LNG cargo
One of the largest LNG carriers in the world, the 266,000 cbm Shagra, is scheduled to arrive at the UK’s South Hook import terminal in September.
The vessel, with a Qatar-sourced LNG cargo, is scheduled to dock at the terminal’s jetty on September 3, port data reveals.
The South Hook terminal can process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic metres of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
Qatar Petroleum owns 67.5 percent of South Hook LNG Terminal, ExxonMobil owns 24.15 percent and Total SA owns the rest.
