South Korea: LNG Inventory at 80 Percent of Storage Capacity

South Korea’s current inventory of LNG stands at 80 percent of the country’s storage capacity of 3.8 million tonnes, Reuters reported, citing unnamed sources.

The country imported 4,806,964 mt of LNG in December, up 46.6% from the same month in 2010.

South Korea’s KOGAS, the world’s largest corporate buyer of LNG, said recently that it has sold gas equivalent to 4.177 million tonnes of LNG domestically in December.
