Spain: MY Picchiotti Galileo G wins Exterior Design & Styling Award at Showboats Design Awards 2012

MY Picchiotti Galileo G wins Exterior Design & Styling Award at Showboats Design Awards 2012

The motor yacht Picchiotti Galileo G from the Vitruvius® series has won the award for Exterior Design and Styling in the category Displacement Motor Yachts from 30m – 59.99m at the Showboats Design Awards 2012, organized by Boat International Media on June 22nd, 2012. The awards ceremony was held at the exclusive Monaco Opera House.

The award, the same award that was won by the first Picchiotti motor yacht from the Vitruvius® series, the 50 m Exuma, has arrived just months after the same yacht was awarded the “Best of the Best Custom Megayachts” prize from the prestigious American magazine Robb Report that each year finds and highlights the best products produced worldwide for Luxury Lifestyle.

Perini Navi’s Galileo G was selected by Robb Report’s editors as “Best of the Best Custom Megayachts” in the just-released signature June issue. This 24th annual “Best of the Best” culminates an entire year’s search for the luxury world’s most exceptional new products and services.

MY Galileo G 55m Ice Class from the Vitruvius® series is the second of three motor yachts sold today by the Perini Navi Group and constructed in collaboration with Vitruvius Ltd and Philippe Briand. Built for efficiency and for navigating in total autonomy, Galileo G has been designed and constructed following the guidelines for Ice Class (ABS Ice Class IB) classification. The yacht can navigate the Northwest Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific through the Canadian Arctic Archipelago.

The third yacht in this Picchiotti brand from the Vitruvius® series is currently under construction at the Picchiotti shipyard in La Spezia, Italy. It is scheduled to be delivered in 2013.
