Spotted: Mein Schiff 5 Sailing into the Kiel Fjord

TUI Cruises’ newbuild “Mein Schiff 5” arrived on June 23 in Kiel – the cruise ship’s first visit to a German port after it was handed over in Turku, Finland, three days earlier.

Built at Meyer Turku Oy shipyard, the cruise ship features a length of 295 meters and a width of 35.8 meters. It has a gross tonnage of 99,800 tons.

With its 15 decks and 1,267 cabins, Mein Schiff 5 can accommodate 2,534 passengers.

During the end of June and mid of July, Mein Schiff 5 is initially undertaking several short cruises and foretaste trips and can be seen several times in Kiel.

The ship’s maiden voyage starts on July 16, taking it to the Baltic’s biggest cities.
