Spotted: Rickmers Dalian Loads Mega Yacht

In today’s spotted we bring you an image of MV Rickmers Dalian, a general cargo vessel which made a stop-over earlier this month at the anchorage off Lavrion, Greece, to load a mega yacht destined for Dubai, UAE.

Owned by German liner service specialist Rickmers-Linie, the 30,000 dwt Rickmers Dalian is one of nine sister vessels in the company’s Superflex Heavy Multi-Purpose Containership (MPC) fleet.

The ship is deployed in Rickmers-Linie’s Round-The-World Pearl String service.

Built in 2004 by Chinese shipbuilder Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co., the ship features a length 193 meters and a width of 27.9 meters.

The 23,119 gross ton Rickmers Dalian is equipped with adjustable tween decks and can lift units of up to 640 tons.

The yacht, which was loaded onto the Rickmers Dalian, was discharged on 19 October, 2016, in Dubai.
