Statoil Receives Consent for Transocean Leader Operations

Statoil has received consent to use the Transocean Leader rig at the Mikkel field.

The consent relates to permanent plugback of well 6407/6-5 in the Norwegian Sea.

Water depth at the site is 225 metres.

The operation is scheduled to start on 13 April 2013, with a duration until 1 May 2013.

Transocean Leader is a semi-submersible rig owned and operated by Transocean Offshore North Sea Ltd. It was delivered in 1987 from Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea.

The facility received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) from the PSA on 16 Dec. 2004.
