Statoil to use Navion Europa as temporary storage for Heidrun

Statoil Petroleum has received consent to use the shuttle tanker, Navion Europa, as a temporary storage vessel for the Heidrun field and the Heidrun Oil Export Solution (HOES).

Heidrun

Heidrun is located at Haltenbanken in the Norwegian Sea. Water depth is around 350 metres.

The field has been developed using a concrete floating tension leg platform and production began in 1995.

Navion Europa

Navion Europa is a shuttle tanker built in 1995. The vessel is currently being used to regulate buoy loading operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and is owned by Navion Offshore Loading AS. Teekay Shipping Norway AS is responsible for operations.
