Stork pens contract to support Repsol Sinopec’s North Sea assets

Fluor subsidiary Stork has confirmed it scored a two-year fabric maintenance and asset support services contract by Repsol Sinopec Resources UK Limited across six of the company’s North Sea assets.

The confirmation comes following an announcement earlier this month when Repsol Sinopec said it had awarded several contracts for maintenance of its North Sea assets, to several companies.

Under the two-year contract with extension options, Stork will deliver a range of integrated fabric maintenance services, access solutions and specialist services throughout the operator’s Saltire, Buchan, Fulmar, Auk, Montrose and Arbroath platforms. The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Stork has provided integrated services across Repsol Sinopec Resources UK’s North Sea fields for more than eight years. More precisely, Stork provided the services for Talisman Sinopec Energy UK, which later became Repsol Sinopec Resource UK, following Repsol’s acquisition of Canada’s Talisman Energy.

“We look forward to continuing our long standing relationship with Repsol Sinopec Resources UK and are fully committed to continuity, quality, innovation and cost efficiency to ensure that we add further value throughout this contract,” said Mike Duncan, Stork vice president of delivery (UK & Africa).
