Subsea Malaysia: Improving collaboration between UK and Malaysia

Subsea Malaysia 2015 program, organised by Subsea UK, with a goal to improve collaboration between UK and Malaysian businesses in offshore industry, is set to take place as part of Oil & Gas Asia.

Subsea Malaysia 2015 is going to take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 2-4 June, with a program of lunch and learn information sessions and networking events.

According to Subsea UK, talks at the three day event are scheduled to cover a variety of subjects including the Asian market, emerging subsea technologies, inspection, choke valves, pressurized pipeline repair, bend protection and industry collaboration.

Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK, said: “Malaysia is home to many innovative and exciting organisations that are playing an important role in moving the subsea sector forward. There is a wealth of opportunities for companies from both the UK and Malaysia to make connections, share expertise and look to new markets.”

“In the current climate collaboration will be key in driving efficiencies and developing new technology. Being able to deliver new solutions to increase production and recovery of hydrocarbon reserves at lower cost will go a long way to supporting the future oil and gas industry.”
