Subsea UK Unveils Finalists for 2012 Business Awards

Subsea UK has unveiled the shortlisted finalists for the 2012 Subsea Business Awards.

A total of 16 small, medium and large organisations are in the running to pick up the prestigious awards now in their sixth year.

The awards recognise and celebrate innovation and excellence in the subsea industry across the UK which generates almost £6 billion annually and employs around 50,000 people.

The winners will be announced at the 2012 Subsea Business Awards dinner on 8thof February, during Europe’s foremost event for the industry – Subsea 2012 – at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Subsea UK will reveal at the awards ceremony the person who is to be honoured for their outstanding contribution to the subsea industry.

The dinner will also feature a keynote speech from Mark Gallagher, former marketing director of Jordan Grand Prix and a figurehead in the automotive industry which has relevant parallels with the mission critical subsea sector.

Sponsored by Forum Energy Technologies and SETS Ltd, this year’s dinner will welcome more than 700 leaders of companies representing the full spectrum of the UK capability in subsea.

The awards ceremony will be held on the opening night of Subsea 2012 which involves a two-day exhibition, conference sessions on day one and additional activities on day two with an impressive line-up of speakers debating the key challenges in relation to the theme of reaching further, going deeper.
