Sweden: Concordia Maritim Wins ‘Best Annual Report’ Award

Sweden - Concordia Maritim Wins 'Best Annual Report' Award

Today, Concordia Maritime, which is active in tanker shipping, was awarded the prize for “Best Annual Report” in Nasdaq OMX’s annual competition. The award was presented at a ceremony at FinForum in Stockholm.

“Someone said that our annual report could function as a textbook in shipping and I think that’s praise indeed. We put a lot of effort into really explaining the necessary conditions for our business, also in a broader perspective. It is very gratifying that our efforts have been rewarded at the same time as it is an incentive to us to make even more improvements,” says Hans Noren, President of Concordia Maritime

Hans Noren continues: “We have noticed that there is a clear thirst for knowledge. People want more than just figures; they want to learn how the market functions, what drives it and who the players are. Our ambition is to be as open as possible — in our annual report, our interim reports and on our website”.

The motivation for the award is as follows: “Gives the reader what he or she wants — and does not give the simple solutions. As usual, Concordia Maritime has delivered a detailed, interesting and well written annual report that outshines its competitors in the class for small companies”.

Concordia Maritime won the prize in the category Small Cap.

“We have previously been praised for the way we provide information and this award shows that we remain on course. Shipping is a complex industry that is not always easy to understand. We try to give a picture of the dynamics that characterise our business and make it so exciting — and we do not flinch from reporting its risks. Our risk and sensitivity analysis is often brought up as an excellent example in this context and it has attracted attention in the international trade press”, says Goran Hermansson, CFO of Concordia Maritime.
