Talisman Sinopec Returning Workers to Buchan Alpha Platform

Talisman Sinopec is returning workers to its Buchan Alpha platform after last week’s evacuation due to severe weather in the UK North Sea.

“On Sunday, 8 December, 33 personnel were safely returned to the Buchan Alpha according to plan, and we anticipate returning to full complement by Wednesday, 11 December,” said Jill Moir, Head of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs, Talisman Sinopec Energy UK Limited, in an e-mail sent to Offshore Energy Today.

To remind, Talisman last week shut production and evacuated 85 personnel from the platform located 83 miles North East of Aberdeen.

Moir added that there was no damage to the platform as a result of the severe weather conditions.
