Tebodin, Gate sign framework agreement

Tebodin informed it has signed a framework agreement with Gate LNG terminal, located in the Port of Rotterdam, for projects in the future.

Daan Velter, Maintenance Manager Gate terminal BV said, “Possible projects covered by the agreement are design and construction of the second LNG truck loading station, adjustments of the piping system of the current jetty and participation in the client team of the LNG Break Bulk terminal Rotterdam project.”

Gate, operator of the first Dutch LNG terminal, said in an earlier statement that the Port of Rotterdam has already begun with the excavation of a new harbour basin next to the terminal. The new facility is expected to boost the use of liquefied natural gas as a transportation fuel in the Netherlands and Northwest Europe.

Break bulk services aim to split up large-scale LNG shipments into smaller parcels. This enables the distribution and use of LNG as a cleaner fuel alternative for maritime vessels, ferries, trucks and industrial applications.
