TenneT Issues Marine Warranty Surveyors Tender Call

Dutch-German power grid company TenneT has issued a contract notice seeking providers of offshore marine warranty surveyors services.

Through this tender, TenneT plans to conclude multiple framework agreements with suppliers of offshore marine warranty surveyors (MWS) services.

The scope of this call for tender includes MWS services for offshore projects for TenneT TSO BV in the Netherlands and TenneT Offshore GmbH in Germany.

During the realization phases of the above-mentioned projects, the majority of the installation works on the platform, the sea cable, and the export cables will take place offshore and hence MWS services are required, TenneT said.

The MWS has to monitor whether all activities performed by the contractor are carried out according to the agreed procedures and safety margins from an insurance perspective, as well as to determine what to do in case of calamities in order to mitigate damages.

The tender is divided into two lots: Platform/Offshore Substation, and Sea Cable.

The contracts have a duration of twelve months, with seven possible twelve-month renewals for a total of 96 months.

The estimated total value of the contracts is EUR 30 million. The tender remains open until 25 March.
