Tepco Feb LNG imports decline YoY

Japan’s utility Tokyo Electric Power said its imports of LNG in February were at 1.89 million tonnes, a drop of 9.1 percent compared to February of 2014.

The utility used 2 million tonnes of LNG in February, up 2.8 percent compared to the same month last year.

In April-February period, Tepco bought 22.47 million tonnes and consumed 21.53 million tonnes of LNG.

Tepco is Japan’s first importer of the chilled fuel, and it imports LNG from projects located around the globe.
