The Netherlands - Falck Nutec Gets OPITO Approval for MEM IR Training

On Monday, Falck Nutec in the Netherlands has received the OPITO approval for the Major Emergency Management Initial Response (MEM IR) training. Falck Nutec is the first Dutch training company who can provide this high quality Crisis Management Training following the standards of OPITO.

The Offshore MEM IR training is a higher management training. The OPITO approval indicates that the training meets the high standard of representatives of the international Oil & Gas Industry. In various scenarios participants on the MEM ik training will be confronted with incidents that can occur while executing daily activities on a offshore platform.

The scenario’s can include both higher management and operational staff because the training facilities are placed in close range of the process site on the training location. Evaluation of the Naming is possible through recordings or observation behind tinted glass.

In developing the MEM IR training, Falck Nutec has cooperated closely with E-Semble. Falck Nutec has Invested In dedicated hardware and a training accommodation that resembles a control room. E-Semble is responsible for the virtual software simulations which contribute to the realistic experience of a scenario.

This software makes it possible to implement the customers working environment in the system, so it seems like the crisis is on their own site. This brings the training even more closer to reality.

Earlier this year Falck Nutec In the Netherlands already received the NOGEPA accreditation for the Management of Major Emergencies (MoME) training. The MoME is a training specific for the Offshore Installation Managers (OIM) on the Dutch Continental Shelf.

Special facilities for this training were built on the training location of Falck Nutec at the Maasvlakte, Rotterdam. With the OPITO approval for the MEM IR Falck Nutec can serve the international market of OIM’s.
