The Netherlands: Lueftner Cruises Christens Amadeus Silver

Lueftner Cruises Christens Amadeus Silver

Lueftner Cruises christened the Amadeus Silver on April 12 in Amsterdam as the newest addition to their cruising fleet of 11 vessels.

Hereby, De Hoop realised a milestone in their ambition of producing more than one kilometre of ships for this customer.

Extending the traditional 110-m length of the AMADEUS ships to 135-m creates not only space for more cabins but allows for quite a number of innovative new features in the premium market segment to come to fruition.

The Amadeus Silver has a total of 78 enlarged standard cabins (16m²). Those on the Mozart and Strauss decks have an innovative form of French balcony offering the option of making the panoramic window front (which extends across the whole cabin width) automatically drop-down so that the cabin becomes a balcony in itself.

Amadeus Silver has the ability to sail at the maximum speed of 25 km/h. It encompasses 135 m in length and 11,40 m in breadth.

After the ceremony the vessel went straight into service and will operate for the entire season in Europe, mainly on the rivers Rhine and Danube.
