The Netherlands: Wagenborg Shipping Enlarges Its Fleet with New Vessel M.S. Elbeborg

Royal Niestern Sander today, from yard number 842, delivered m.s. Elbeborg to shipowner Wagenborg Shipping, Delfzijl.

Royal Niestern Sander is well established in the area of shipbuilding for merchant shipping and inland shipping. The reference list contains building orders for chemical tankers, research vessels, offshore vessels and a range of ship types for the carriage of dry cargoes.

For over a century the company has gained its name as a trendsetter for innovation in shipbuilding and as a designer and builder of ships for a variety of advanced and very specific purposes. They monitor the demands and the wishes of a rapidly changing market. The new building facilities of the Royal Niestern Sander include

– An inner dike construction site, including several large production halls for the construction of vessels to a length of 140 metres and a maximum width of 16 metres;

– An outer dike construction site, suitable for the construction and assembly of vessels to a length of 160 metres and a maximum width of 23 metres.

The company has its own Design and Support Unit/Engineering Office for the design, modification and optimal support of the orders. It is also a member of Conoship International BV, a cooperative marketing, design and consultancy/advice centre of three Northern Dutch shipyards.
